Zircon sat on the footsteps of the inn, the pitter-pattering of raindrops enacted their own sort of symphony as the Sun finally started to set. The horrible waking nightmares that were upon him finally started to fade. These were a constant reminder of his true goals. The same visions of a better, more simple life a dream of what could have been if not for that fated day.
His filth encrusted armor now teaming with life glistened as the rains had subsided for the moment. As some of the more aggressive insects bit into his skin he glared at them for a split second and they became docile. “I suppose now I should attempt to contact the yaoguai’s hive mother…. One can simply not have too many friends! Gwahahaha!” Zircon started off as a whisper but ended with a booming cackle. “No more time to dilly-dally, holiday over time to get back to work!”
