Brewer Elixir Recipes

What is an Elixir?
An Elixir is a beneficial brew that a Brewer can create if she has the appropriate recipe (or Wyrdic Cipher) in her possession (or has learned it) and the necessary component costs to create it.

Elixirs can provide restorative effects to those that drink them, such as the curing of disease or the healing of injury. Elixirs may also imbue the drinker with the temporary use of a skill or feat, in this case – this Skill or Feat goes away when the effects of the Elixir wear off (usually after 1 moon). Furthermore, these Skills or Feats may not be used to fulfill the prerequisites for any abilities, skills, feats or spells.

How do you use an Elixir?
To use an Elixir, you must spend at least 5 seconds role-playing the imbibing of the Elixir’s phys-rep, holding it as necessary.. A drinker need not actually drink the liquid of an Elixir phys-rep—they need only pretend to do so. If you take any damage or are otherwise interrupted while you are drinking the Elixir, its effects are expended uselessly.

An Elixir’s qualities will affect a Drinker ten seconds after he finishes drinking it.
How do you create an Elixir?
To create an Elixir, a Brewer must have the following:

–          10 uninterrupted, consecutive minutes to spend in the Alchemy Lab or Annie’s Inn
–          The necessary Recipe on a Wyrdic Cipher or in her head (learned as a Skill that costs 3 Build)
–          The necessary rank of Elixirist (Expert Elixirist for Complex Elixirs and Master Elixirist for Erudite Elixirs)
–          The necessary component costs to make the Elixir (as written on the Wyrdic Cipher)
–          The phys-reps required for the Elixir (as written on the Wyrdic Cipher)

After the allotted time has been spent Role-playing the creation of the Elixir, an Elixirist can deliver the component costs to Annie the Innkeeper and receive 3 official 7K dose tags to fill out with the following:
–          Dose and Affinities of the Elixir
–          The Creator’s CSN
–          The moon of Expiration*

An Elixir will retain its potency until 6 moons have passed – then it becomes ordinary water.

How can I learn to create an Elixir?
You may create an Elixir by having the necessary Wyrdic Cipher in your hands. Alternatively, you can learn the secrets of its creation by spending an entire Moon with the Wyrdic Cipher in your possession and then spending 3 build to ingrain this information into your mind.

What is Dose?
Whenever an Elixir creates an Elixir, she usually creates 3 doses of it (A Master Elixirist creates 5 doses when she creates Basic Elixirs). Successfully drinking a dose bestows the Elixir’s effect upon the drinker.

If a Dose grants a latent effect, the benefits of drinking that Elixir count against how many latent effects a Character may have. Furthermore, any and all skills or feats gained from drinking an Elixir expire when the Elixir’s effects wear off.

What is Affinity?
Certain Elixirs bestow greater effects when drunk by a specific Race, Class or Kingdom. The requirements of benefitting from the Affinity entry of an Elixir are written in parenthesis. If an Elixir lists Affinity (Elf or Dwarf), this means than an Elf or a Dwarf drinking this Elixir gains the benefits listed in the Affinity entry.

If the drinker fulfills the Affinity multiple times, he does not benefit from the Affinity multiple times – only once. For example, if an Elixir has Affinity (Elf or Priest): Regain 20 HP, and an Elven Priest drinks it, he regains 20 HP and not 40 HP.
What is a Phys-Rep?
“Phys-Rep” is short for Physical Representation. A Phys-Rep is a real-life, tangible item that represents the Elixir. Elixir Phys-reps are both the dose card and the brew vial. Official Seventh Kingdom dose cards can be found with Logistics. Brew Vials must be provided by the player of the Brewer – the contents of an Elixir phys-rep must be water or must be empty (because of the ramifications of breakage). Phys-reps found to be in violation of this rule will be denied usage and dose cards will not be given to such an Elixirist.

When using an Elixir, the drinker need not actually drink the liquid inside the Elixir. This is for safety and hygiene reasons.

What does 1/SR, 1/H, 1/P and 1/M mean?
1/SR is once per short rest. Once used, this benefit can not be used again until the wielder has taken a successful short rest.
1/H is once per hour. Once used, this benefit can not be used again until an hour has passed.
1/P is once per period. Once used, this benefit can not be used again until the next period.
1/M is once per moon or month. Once used, this benefit can not be used again until the next event.

Basic Elixirs:

Spiritsong Potion Recipe
A common Elixir found in almost every Elixirist’s hands, this brew restores the drinker’s spiritual energies.
Basic Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Spiritsong Potion; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 1 SP.
Cost: basic Holy x1

Medicinal Potion Recipe
This Elixir has the capacity to mend the injuries of the wounded, physically knitting flesh and bone through elemental power.
Basic Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Medicinal Potion; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 10 HP.
Cost: basic Herbal x2

Trollgrass Potion Recipe
A potion that calls upon the healing abilities of Trolls, this Elixir closes wounds and mends broken limbs.
Basic Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Trollgrass Potion; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 15 HP and the use of all Crippled, Severed or Broken limbs.

Venom-bane Antidote Recipe
This potion is specifically tailored to counteract almost any Basic Poison, neutralizing its effects but not the damage already done.

This potion is a cure-all for almost any lesser disease.

This Elixir filters deep into the drinker’s form to strengthen his spirit and his resolve.

Those who drink this Brew heightens the minds of those that drink it, rendering them less prone to emotions or distractions.

This Elixir quickens the feet and the flesh of those that drink it.

Bear’s Strength Elixir Recipe
This Elixir grants the drinker the formidable strength of the Bear, to use in melee against those that threaten him.
Basic Elixir (1 moon; latent effect)
Create: 3 doses of Strength Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker’s Critical Strikes and Totem Strikes inflict 1 extra damage. Drinker loses all other Elixir effects that provide a similar bonus.

Wyrmroot Potion Recipe
Originally a recipe from Ixia, this Elixir transmutes herbal components into the elusive Wyrmroot to grant its tremendous healing properties to the drinker.
Complex Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Wyrmroot Potion; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 20 HP and all Pain effects are removed from him.
Affinity (Troll or Gnome): Regain 5 extra HP and all Mortal effects are removed from him.

Maker’s Mead Recipe
Created by the Iron Kingdom, Maker’s Mead is a powerful, healing Brew that only the stalwart can truly handle.
Complex Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Maker’s Mead; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 30 HP and takes a Daze 30 effect.
Affinity (Dwarf or Warrior): Drinker is not Dazed.

Callasine Star-wine Recipe
A heady, Elven concoction that re-energies one’s spirit and vim.
Complex Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Callasine Star-wine; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 2 SP and takes a Confuse 10 effect.
Affinity (Elf or Priest): Drinker also regains 10 HP.

Scourge-bane Brew Recipe
An ancient Wyrdic recipe, those that drink this will find themselves protected from the ravages of greater Diseases.
Complex Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Scourge-bane Brew; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, All Lesser and Greater Diseases are removed from the Drinker.
Affinity (Human or Warrior): Regain 10 HP.
Cost: basic Holy x2, basic Water x2

Assassin-bane Antidote Recipe
Hailing from the ancient Empire of Wyrd, this Elixir has foiled many an assassination attempt by neutralizing any Basic or Complex Poison.

Create: 3 doses of Assassin-bane Antidote Recipe; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, All Basic and Complex Poisons are removed from the Drinker.
Affinity (Human or Warrior): Regain 10 HP

Reaver’s Guile Elixir Recipe
Deceivers and scoundrels would do well to procure this Elixir, allowing them to evade those that would sense their deceptions.

Create: 3 doses of Reaver’s Guile Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, (1/SR) the Drinker may use the Poker Face skill.
Affinity (Rogue, Shadowsoul or Seeker): (2/SR) the Drinker may use the Poker Face skill, instead of (1/SR)

Hawk-Eye Elixir Recipe
This Elixir actually sharpens the eyes of those who drink it, imbuing them with watchfulness and vigilance.

Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Sense Hidden feat and the Pursue Quarry feat.
Affinity (Marksman, Gnome or Bird-kin): (1/SR) Use the Sense Hidden or the Pursue Quarry feat without spending SP. Preface with the word “Expert”

Those that drink this Elixir are possessed of a heady courage and a willingness to defy the odds.

Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Spurn Death feat and the Bravery skill.
Affinity (Gotterdammerung, Pendrakken or Fir’bolg): Gain another rank of the Apotheosis skill if you have less than 5 ranks of it.

Those that drink this Elixir find themselves to be as stalwart and tenacious as a Dwarf.

Favored by scouts and fugitives, this Elixir grants its drinker the power to free themselves from restraint.

A dangerous concoction, this draught is most beneficial to those who traffic with the Vault.

Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 50 HP, use of all Crippled, Severed and Broken Limbs, and receives a Daze 30 effect.

One of the strongest healing potions available, this potion can bring new life to those who imbibe it and channel its powers.

A secret once held by Gnomes, this Elixir is condensed spiritual energy that revitalizes the spirit but bewitches the mind.
Erudite Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Aethereal Mist-Potion; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker regains 5 SP and receives a Confuse 20 effect.
Affinity (Witch, Gnome or Troll): Regain 1 extra SP and receive a Confuse 10 effect instead of a Confuse 20.

Adarna’s Anti-venom Recipe
This Anti-venom destroys Erudite Poisons and can revive those at death’s door.

Warder’s Waters Recipe
The fruit of this Gotterdammerung recipe can remove up to Anathemic Diseases and extends its protection for up to an hour.
Erudite Elixir
Create: 3 doses of Water’s Waters; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker is cleansed of all Diseases and regains 10 HP.
Affinity (Human, Warder Chosen or Seven United Chosen): Drinker may invoke “Immune” against all Diseases for the next hour.

Iron-Rune Strength Elixir
Once a secret of the Iron Kingdom, the Iron-Rune Strength Elixir strengthens the drinker’s sinews to giant-like proportions.
Erudite Elixir (1 moon; latent effect)
Create: 3 doses of Iron-Rune Strength Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Great Strength skill and his Critical Strikes and Totem Strikes inflict 2 extra damage. Drinker loses all other Elixir effects that grant a similar bonus.
Affinity (Dwarf, Berserker or Warrior): When the Drinker spends 1 SP while performing a Critical Strike or a Totem Strike, he regains 5 HP.

Diamond-Soul Elixir
An ancient Kenrei tea brew, this Elixir keens the drinker’s soul against all Mortal effects and some magic.

Create: 3 doses of Diamond-Soul Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Spurn Death feat, the Bravery Skill and the Evade feat.
Affinity (Mystic, Ixia or Kenrei): (1/SR) Evade costs 0 SP. Invoke as “expert Evade”

Wyrm-scale Elixir
An Ixian concoction, this Elixir allows the drinker to flourish even against torment and injury.
Erudite Elixir (1 moon; latent effect)
Create: 3 doses of Wyrm-Flesh Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Endure Pain feat, the Resilience skill and the Totemic Guardian skill.
Affinity (Dwarf, Gnome or Troll): (1/SR) Using the Endure Pain feat also heals Drinker for 10 HP.
Cost: Rare Metal x1, Rare Fire x1, Rare Lightning x1

Mind-Fortress Elixir
Originally a Gnome recipe, this Elixir completely shields the Drinker’s mind from attack and from emotions.
Erudite Elixir (1 moon; latent effect)
Create: 3 doses of Mind-Fortress Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Resist Charm feat, the Willpower skill and the Sense Deception feat.
Affinity (Gnome, Kali-Ishtar or Elf):  (1/SR) Invoke “Mind-Fortress Elixir” to within 5 seconds of an attack to negate a Charm effect upon yourself and everyone within weapon reach.

Sky-Strider Elixir
A recipe from the Luccari of Jotunbrud, this Elixir allows a character utter freedom from restraints.
Erudite Elixir (1 moon; latent effect)
Create: 3 doses of Sky-Strider Elixir; expires after 6 moons
Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, Drinker gains the Break Force feat, the Persistence skill and the Dodge feat.
Affinity (Elf, Gnome or Rogue): (1/SR) Use the Flee the Scene feat after fleeing for only 3 seconds.

Transformation Elixir
This Elixir is favored by spies and fugitives for its ability to alter their form and thereby escape pursuit or detection.

Dose: 10 seconds after drinking, You may disguise yourself as a member of another Race. You do not gain Racial abilities, skills or feats of the other Race. You cannot use your Racial skills or abilities.
