Ultra Light and Light Combatants

Ultra Lights

What they need to wear: They need a HUNTER orange armband on BOTH arms.

Requirements: To be considered an Ultra Light you need to specifically request to be an Ultra Light to a staff member while having a valid reason, such as medical or personal etc. Players are required to bring their own Hunter Orange armband. (A sweat band, strip of cloth, bandanna, etc. can be used.)

Conditions:
-When nearing any sort of combat you need to verbally tell the NPCs you are an Ultra Light and openly show your armband. If you fail to bring it to their attention it is NOT the NPCs fault if they strike you.
An Ultra Light is meant to stay away from combat. If an NPC enters with in five feet of the Ultra Light they may point and say to the targeted Ultra Light you are dead. Ultra Light must remove them selves from combat and begin their death count.
-The NPC (not the player) is the one who determines if the Ultra Light is in range to be killed. This range is somewhere around 5 feet.
-At NO time should a weapon touch a Ultra Light, although a player can be killing blowed… the NPC will point a weapon at them and begin the killing blow count.
-If an Ultra Light is hit with a spell packet that causes damage they will instantly hit zero hit points, remove themselves from combat and begin their death count.
-If the packet has some other effect other then damage the Ultra Light will take the effect.

You are, under your own responsibility, to make smart choices and steer clear of any combat. If an Ultra Light is caught abusing this privilege, their Ultra Light status will be revoked.

Ultralights & Service animals:
-Anyone who is presently in possession of a service animal is to be considered an ultralight. The reason for this is simple- a mock combat environment can quickly escalate into an unsafe situation for an animal to be in. People jumping, running, swinging, etc. In short, we want to insure the safety of the animal, owner, and fellow participants at all times. Thank you for your understanding.


 

Lights

What they need to wear: They need a NEON green armband on either arm.

Requirements: For players that feel that they are extra sensitive to normal fighting we have created the Lights. You must give staff a heads up at the beginning of the weekend that you will be considered a Light. Players are required to bring their own Neon Green armband. (A sweat band, strip of cloth, bandanna, etc. can be used.)

Conditions:
-When nearing any sort of combat you need to verbally tell the NPCs you are a Light and openly show your armband. If you fail to bring it to their attention it is NOT the NPCs fault if they strike you with a normal swing.

-An NPC fighting a light will take extra care to tap a light target instead of a normal boffer combat swing.

-A Light is meant to still be able enjoy combat throughout the weekend. You can do so without any change to the rules that you would normally follow.

-Any combatants, whether your enemy or friend must, strive to take extra care when coming in contact with you.

-Once you decide you’re a Light you cannot remove the Light status until the next event.
