Some abilities that aren’t melee attacks reference ‘one-handed weapon reach’.  Among them are Sense Deception and Suggestion.

My assumption is that the ‘weapon reach’ is just a convenient proof for how close you are, and that these abilities aren’t conretely tied to the reach of the weapon you’re wielding when you call them.  So:

    1. If one has a weapon phys-rep within easy reach (i.e. through a belt, or in a frog/bag), could they take out the phys-rep simply to measure the reach of the ability?

    2. Would one be able to do the same for Whirlwind attacks, whether they’re melee-based or not?
